Good sturdy case. Made of metal not plastic holds up well in factory were i work would recomend to get.
Furthermore the belt-clip on mine broke twice within the first twoweeks or so of having it. I tried that at first and was constantly having the case come openand drop the unit out onto the ground, the very thing I bought it toavoid. Since then I've been carryingthe unit in my pocket and it seems to be okay.It is a little difficult for me and my fat fingers to get the stylus outthrough the cutout provided sometimes.All-in-all though a worthwhile purchase to protect your investment. Decent protection for the unit. I have noticed some signal loss, but notenough to be of any real concern. However I will recommend this, do NOT use the belt-clip that comes withit. The first time it came apart and I was able tofix it, the second time was irreparable.
Once the phone hit the ground pretty hard - exactly what I bought this case to protect against. Other than that it has a nice finish, and when it stays closed it seems like it could withstand pretty serious abuse. My only two complaints are that 1) with the swivel clip attached it's thicker than it probably has to be (about 2" overall), and 2) it doesn't latch as securely as I'd like. With the shell open, the keyboard is accessible without having to entirely remove the phone. The height and width of the phone fit snugly into the padding in the bottom shell, with just about a half millimeter excess room in the thickness when it's closed. The case is as hard as you'd please, and protects the phone well. Cutouts allow access to everything except for the touch screen, and the IE and mail buttons at the top of the screen. I've had the case open up unintentionally several times now, and the phone popped out on three of those occasions.
For a mass-produced solution, it is pretty close to ideal. The comm button and soft-buttons are slightly obscured, and the mail and IE button are totally obscured. However it works excellently.I never use the belt clip, I always keep it in my pocket, so I can't speak about wearing it on my belt.In 3 months, it never fell open, and still snaps closed securely. You CAN also open out the keyboard without removing it from the case, although you DO have to open it to do so.I've never tried it, but it seems like you could step on it without damaging the phone inside.Minor Downsides: Because it is solid metal it does add about 30% to the weight. If you manage to scar black anodized aluminum, the scratch is noticeable.I strongly reccommend this case. If it were titanium, it would be lighter, but much more expensive. The construction is quite solid. The plastic protecting the screen seems scratchproof.
The glue holding the window in place has partly come unstuck once (but even if it had come totally undone, the plastic couldn't move while the case was closed), but that was quickly fixed. If 2 of the holes were a bit bigger, my large fingers would have had an easier time. When I bought this, it wasn't the type of case I wanted; I couldn't find what I wanted, and this was the best I could find. While closed, it CAN be used as a camera, ipod, phone, web browser, and run many programs. It is also slightly harder to remove the stylus while it is in the case; this may be inevitable with any rigid case, and this may be seen as a feature.
